Welcome to the CRC for Construction Innovation's Second International Conference on the magnificent Gold Coast. The Conference theme, Clients Driving Innovation: Moving Ideas into Practice has been chosen to reflect the key relationship that construction delivery teams have in the innovation process - particularly in the project environment that characterises property, design, construction and facility management. To improve industry performance we are now focussed on moving ideas into practice - implementing applied research and targeted training. This Conference leverages on Australian and international experiences in construction innovation and has a particular focus on applied industry case studies - illustrating how investment in science, research and innovation can provide more sustainable returns for our industry and the economy.
